Experience in the area of Food Sciences, with emphasis on Food Microbiology, working on the following themes: pathogenic microorganisms in foods, food irradiation: microbiological and sensational aspects.

Academic background
- Bachelor degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from UNESP (1975)
- Master degree in Food Sciences from FCF/USP (1978)
-Doctor degree in Biological Sciences from ICB/USP (1989)
- Post-doc from the Health Protection Branch – Canada (1990)

Main research lines
Development of researches in Food Microbiology, with emphasis on the assessment of microbiological risk, on the study of pathogenic microorganisms via usage of irradiation and the consequent chemical and sensational alterations on the product.
